Job Title: Cashier/Server

Position Overview: We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Cashier/Server to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, handling cash transactions, and ensuring a smooth and pleasant dining experience for our guests. You will be a key part of the team, making sure that guests feel welcome, their needs are met, and their dining experience is enjoyable.

Key Responsibilities:
Cashier Duties:
• Greet customers as they enter and exit the restaurant.
• Process payments, including cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments, accurately and efficiently.
• Provide receipts and process returns or exchanges when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and organized cash register area.
• Balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
Server Duties:
• Take customer orders, accurately entering them into the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Provide menu recommendations and answer questions about ingredients, food allergies, and specials.
• Serve food and beverages to customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Ensure that all orders are correct and served promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness of tables and restaurant areas, ensuring a pleasant dining environment.
• Check on guests during their meals and handle any issues or concerns promptly and courteously.
Teamwork & Communication:
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and other servers to ensure efficient service and customer satisfaction.
• Assist with setting up and cleaning tables as needed.
• Handle customer feedback, complaints, and special requests with a positive attitude and professionalism.
Other Responsibilities:
• Assist with food prep or stocking supplies during slow periods.
• Help with opening and closing duties, including cleaning, organizing, and setting up the restaurant.
• Follow all restaurant policies and health & safety guidelines.
Skills & Qualifications:
• Previous experience in a cashier, server, or customer service role is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions.
• Ability to work in a team environment and under pressure.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and carry trays of food or drinks.
