PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:

To manage brand presence for brands in the assigned portfolio across all sectors by:

  1. Planning, conceptualizing, coordinating and executing all marketing and promotional strategy and objectives on behalf of Principals/Brand owners and product lines
  2. Achieving agreed distribution, sales, return on investment and gross profit targets of the brands
  3. Consistently applying defined internal operational procedures to ensure efficient and effective operation of the Division

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

▪ A degree/diploma in Business Management, Marketing, Sales or a related discipline
▪ English Language and Mathematics at CXC/O-Level
▪ A minimum of 5 years’ marketing experience at a managerial/supervisory level, with a record of hands-on involvement in brand development and promotion and in-trade exposure
▪ Experience in the food and consumer goods sector would be an asset

  • Ability to work outside of normal working hours, including weekends and at varied types of in-trade executions
  • A valid driver’s license and access to transportation

SUMMARY OF MAJOR DUTIES

  1. Plan, implement and monitor and execute marketing strategy, objectives and budgets to achieve sales and distribution targets and to maximize return on investment and gross profits for brands in the assigned portfolio across all sectors.
  2. Coordinate and implement advertising, promotional and public relations activities
  3. Manage stock of brands in the portfolio to agreed levels without over- or understocking
  4. Assist in the supervision of merchandising activities in trade to support promotional and sales initiatives.
  5. Ensure Point of Sale (POS) material is properly managed
  6. Analyze results, trends and competitive activity to ensure optimal brand performance in all Divisions.
  7. Establish effective working relationships and communication with Brand Owners, and external and internal customers
