Opportunities exist for experienced culinary professionals to become part of an award-winning team in the position of Baker / Pastry Cook (6-month contract).

What we seek

  • 3 – 5 years’ similar experience in luxury resorts or fine dining restaurants. International experience would be an asset. 
  • Culinary qualifications preferred
  • Experienced in preparing breads, pastries, chocolates, desserts and ice cream
  • Creativity in the use of local flavours and plate presentations
  • Consistency in the use of recipes and adherence to standards
  • Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene best practices
  • Adaptability and flexibility to meet the dynamic demands of a luxury resort
  • Must be able to work any 8-hour shift including overnight, and on weekends and public holidays

About the Role
we’re looking for a motivated Apprentice Baker to join our bakery team. This role is ideal for a hardworking, hands-on individual who is passionate about baking and eager to learn traditional and modern techniques in a professional kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily preparation and baking of bread, pastries, and baked goods
  • Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes
  • Support senior bakers with production and finishing
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the bakery
  • Help with stock rotation and basic inventory tasks
  • Follow health and safety regulations at all times

What we’re looking for

  • Candidate with interest in baking or food production
  • Basic baking experience or culinary training is an advantage (but not required)
  • Willingness to learn, take direction, and work early mornings
  • Physically fit and comfortable working on your feet
  • Reliable, punctual, and a team player
