Position Summary: Research Officer
Contract Type: Fixed Term

You are invited to apply if you can demonstrate that you meet the following core competences:
• Highly developed qualitative and quantitative research skills.
• Understanding of research methodologies and the ability to apply knowledge to the Caribbean Tourism Landscape.
• Strong analytical skills, and ability to rapidly analyze and integrate diverse information from varied sources.
• Critical Judgment – ability to define issues and focus on achieving workable solutions.
• Identifies priority activities and assignments.
• Ability to execute projects within deadlines.
• Teamwork – excellent interpersonal, organizational and management skills and ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams.
• Interpersonal Skills – effectively and productively engages with others and establishes trust, credibility and confidence with others.
• Computer literate; must be able to use the Internet and other research tools effectively.

Position Requirements and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Marketing, Business, Tourism or related discipline
• Three years’ working experience in a data gathering environment.
• Proven working knowledge of Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS)
• Prior knowledge and experience in research and research methodology.
• Must have IT knowledge and experience of document management software, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite. Canva is desirable
