To scan, store, and organize electronic documents and images to ensure that they are accessible to authorized parties. The Digitization Assistant willwork with sensitive materials that require care and handling.

Job type: Temporary (3 – 6 months in the first instance)

Responsibilities

1. Scan, index, and organize various types of documents.
2. Operate document scanners and other equipment necessary to perform scanning jobs.
3. Review scanned documents for accuracy, completeness, and legibility.
4. Perform quality control checks on scanned documents.
5. Enter data into the document management system.
6. Maintain and update the document management system.
7. Assist users with document retrieval and other related needs.
8. Complete assigned projects on time and with accuracy.
9. Follow standard procedures for handling confidential documents.
10. Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• A high school certificate.
• Post-secondary education in information technology, computer applications, or other relevant fields will be a plus.
• Previous experience working in a document management environment is a plus.
• Familiarity with document scanning software is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is desired.
