Job Description

The Grenada Tourism Authority is seeking Beach Maintenance Officers to work in the south of the island. Beach Maintenance Officers work under the direct supervision of the Beach Maintenance Supervisor and are responsible for:

  • Cleaning beaches and the immediate surroundings.
  • Operating and maintaining beach cleaning equipment.
  • Ensuring that safety hazards are reported to the Supervisor. 
  • Providing general assistance and information to beachgoers; responding to routine questions.   
  • Assisting in emergency preparedness as directed. 
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Essential criteria

  • Must be able to stand, walk, climb, carry, bend, and kneel for significant   periods of time.
  • Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions.   
  • Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Must have good oral communication skills.
  • Must be able to work cooperatively with colleagues and the public.
