Job Description
Spice Island Beach Resort – Grenada’s 1st and only All-Inclusive AAA Five Diamond/Six Star Diamond resort – invites experienced culinary professionals to become part of an award-winning team in the position of Executive Pastry Chef. Reporting to the Executive Chef, the selected candidate would be required to elevate the resort’s culinary experiences through modern innovative menus incorporating local fare and presented with a new level of sophistication.
What we seek
- Three (3) to five (5) years’ similar experience in luxury resorts globally, with qualifications from a reputable institution. Caribbean experience would be an asset.
- Expert in pastries, chocolates, desserts, artisan breads and specialty items for guests with dietary restrictions.
- Evidence of creative menu development in line with modern culinary trends.
- Evidence of recipe documentation skills.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven track record in team building and mentorship.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene best practices.
- Adaptability and flexibility to meet the dynamic demands of a luxury family-run resort.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Google apps.
