Job Description

Glover Project Consultants Limited provides Professional Services in Grenada, West Indies.
We are looking for a legal counsel to join our legal team as a commercial lawyer providing comprehensive support addressing a diverse range of corporate and compliance matters related to the day to day running of the business.

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough review and drafting of domestic and international contracts
  • Analyze and mitigate potential risks in contractual documents
  • Analyze international and regional policy impacting on the company and its portfolio services.
  • Provide strategic counsel on contract negotiations
  • Support complex corporate and transactional legal matters
  • Communicate clear updates and recommendations on complex urgent projects
  • Assist with operational issues and with provision and coordination of outside legal services
  • Lead internal investigations and/or regulatory responses
  • Facilitate open dialogue with multiple internal and external stakeholders, understanding their motivations and goals, as well as their potential impact on project or initiative
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with reporting requirements by establishing standards, processes, assessments, and tracking tools to evaluate compliance with regulations, policies, procedures, and internal control process
  • Develop and deliver training and technical assistance in line with organizational needs
  • Undertake special projects and assignments, perform other duties as requested as well as work closely with business partners on given projects

    Who we are looking for:
  • Bachelor’s degree in law and master’s degree in law or business (required)
  • Licensed to practice law in civil and/or common law jurisdictions
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience; both in-house and major law firm experience preferred
  • Previous managerial and leadership experience preferred
  • Excellent legal writing abilities
  • Skilled at analyzing and synthesizing the perspectives of various stakeholders
  • Must be able to think critically
  • Must be flexible, able to multitask, and detail-oriented
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Ability and courage to maintain an appropriate perspective regardless of the ambiguity, delicacy or pressure of a situation with unwavering integrity
  • Robust interpersonal, networking, public speaking, and writing skills, with the confidence and credibility to act quickly, communicate effectively with diplomacy and civility, and command respect of both internal and external audiences
  • High energy, drive and unquestioned integrity

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience
