WCCBMPA Livelihood Support Initiative for SMEs & Skills Training


The Enhanced Management and Monitoring of the Woburn–Clarke’s Court Bay Marine Protected Area initiative, or Our Bay Our Future Project, is funded by the Caribbean Biodiversity Fund and Global Affairs Canada (CORE Gender Smart Facility) and implemented by the Grenada Sustainable Development Trust Fund (GSDTF).

The Grenada Sustainable Development Trust Fund (GSDTF) invites Expressions of Interest from residents of Woburn, Woodlands, Clarke’s Court Bay, and neighbouring communities (only) to participate in the Livelihood Support Initiative for SMEs and Skills Training.

This initiative supports sustainable livelihoods that are compatible with the Woburn–Clarke’s Court Bay Marine Protected Area (MPA) by creating new income opportunities, strengthening existing businesses, building skills, and promoting the long-term conservation of our coastal and marine resources.

Who Can Apply?
Residents aged 16 and over, including:
• Existing and aspiring small business owners
• Fisherfolk and sea moss farmers
• Youth and women
• Individuals interested in developing new livelihood skills

Available Opportunities
• Seed grants of up to US$5,000 for eligible businesses
• Fully funded evening skills training, with transportation support provided
• Marine safety gear support of up to US$2,000 for fisherfolk
• Business registration and licensing assistance, including CAIPO registration and other relevant requirements
