Maintenance Supervisor

Spice Island Beach Resort is an AAA Five Diamond / Six Star Diamond rated luxury all-inclusive property, situated on stunning Grand Anse Beach.

Owned by a Grenadian family, our award-winning 64-suite resort is celebrated for delivering memorable hospitality experiences to discerning guests in an upscale and relaxed ambience.
An opportunity exists for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to support the department manager to ensure guests and employees experience the highest standards of comfort and safety.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist in supervising the upkeep and maintenance of all resort facilities and landscaping
  • Assist in developing and implementing a comprehensive preventative maintenance programme for peak performance of all systems
  • Provide technical expertise and support for HVAC, MEP and other technical systems
  • Assist in planning and managing construction and renovation projects efficiently and within budget
  • Assist in ensuring that all maintenance and engineering activities comply with safety regulations and standards
  • Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Assist in developing a high-performing team, through effective leadership, training and coaching 

What we seek:

  • Three (3) to five (5) years’ supervisory experience in a similar role, preferable in the hospitality industry
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent in Building Technology, Building Trades & Services, Engineering or related field
  • Electrician, plumbing and/or HVAC certification
  • Skilled in working with mechanical, electrical and HVAC systems associated with hotels
  • Experience and competence in scheduling and supervising construction and renovation projects
  • Excellent diagnostic, critical thinking and project management skills
  • Experience and competence in purchasing and inventory control
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), Google apps and related software
  • Customer oriented, with great interaction skills
  • Able to work flexible shifts typically between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m., including weekends and public holidays
