THE COMPANY
Canadian Bank Note Company, Limited produces bank notes and payment systems, passports and passport-issuing systems, lottery tickets and electronic lottery games, postage stamps, securities certificates, shareholder communications, and other high security documents and related issuing systems. The Company markets its products to government agencies and authorities, as well as to institutional and other customers in more than 40 countries. The Company manages the Blast Entertainment Centers in Grenada, through its wholly owned subsidiary CBN Grenada Inc.

THE POSITION
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Clerk to provide clerical and operational support to our Finance Department. The successful candidate will assist with routine accounting transactions, record keeping, reconciliations, and cash handling activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance with internal procedures, and timely processing of financial information.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Verify invoices and supporting documentation prior to processing.
  • Assist with preparation of accounts payable vouchers and issuance of payments.
  • Receive, record, and post agent settlements and customer transactions.
  • Communicate payment status to vendors and internal stakeholders as required.
  • Prepare and process weekly bank deposits.
  • Maintain custody of cash in assigned areas, including opening and closing systems and end‐of‐day settlements.
  • Assist with high-tier payments and redemptions under supervision.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements and report discrepancies.
  • Maintain organized and up‐to‐date accounting records (physical and electronic).
  • Assist with preparation and posting of routine journal entries for review.
  • Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts.
  • Support monthly and year‐end accounting close activities, including audits.
  • Assist with inventory counts and reconciliations as assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Assist in maintaining and monitoring internal controls.
  • Investigate basic accounting discrepancies and escalate unresolved issues.
  • Contribute to process improvement and efficiency initiatives.

    THE CANDIDATE
  • Associate’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
  • At least one (1) year relevant experience
  • Working knowledge of accounting software (SAGE an asset)
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
